When I was little girl, my love for plants began thanks to the patience of my grandmother. She would let me work with her digging up the dirt, of course, making a mess, but then the end result of this beautiful plant began to take form as its own being. At that moment, I wonder if she realized that she would shape the rest of my life. My love for all nature and animals began to unfold and as time moved on, I became a photographer which created a path in to my creative artwork. As I use color to enhance the vision in my work, I became a fiction writer. Stories unfold through the brush of the stroke of art.
Turning to nature for inspiration, I begin with photography. I prefer to create the best image I can before I begin the next step which is the hand coloring process. I enjoy working with watercolors and pastels to create a vision of color. Hand coloring helps me become more in tune with my photo providing an enhancement of what I see and feel as an artist through color.
I am always in amazement when I see the life of a plant renew itself. The new buds form, more growth develops and many times little ones grow near the parent plant. It has found its perfect space. It has found its perfect center. It is now in a place that it can call home.
